We answer some of your most frequently asked questions here
Where are Organic Surge products made?
Organic Surge is proud to be British brand. All the Organic Surge products featured are created and made in the UK.
How natural and organic are your products?
Organic Surge products are cleverly formulated from blends of naturally-derived ingredients and certified organic extracts. The vast majority are over 95% natural and organic.
Why don't all your products have organic certification?
All Organic Surge products are rich in natural and organic ingredients and many are certified by EcoCert – the most widely-recognized certification body within Europe.
Organic Surge pledges never to compromise on performance, bringing you the most effective natural products possible. In some cases an essential ingredient, while natural, may not be on the EcoCert list of permitted organic ingredients. In these cases Organic Surge puts product performance first, rather than reducing effectiveness in order to comply with certification requirements. Organic certification is a very complex issue with varying rules and standards from one certifying body to another.
Please be reassured that we constantly monitor the situation on European organic standards and review certification options.
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
The majority of skin reactions are caused by synthetic ingredients. Organic Surge products are formulated with an exceptionally high proportion of natural and organic ingredients, chosen to protect and nourish the skin. Our products are 100% free from parabens, sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate, mineral oil, GMO ingredients, artificial fragrances and colourants – so the risk of a reaction is virtually eliminated. In addition, all Organic Surge facial skincare products are clinically and dermatologically tested, proven suitable for sensitive skin.
Do you test on animals?
Organic Surge fully supports a 'no animal testing' policy and only uses suppliers who operate a rigid policy of no animal testing on the products and no animal extracted ingredients in their manufacturing. Our suppliers conform to the most advanced practices in terms of natural ingredients and environmental policies.
With certain raw materials our suppliers operate a ‘Fixed Cut Off Date’ (FCOD) for animal testing. The FCOD is widely accepted by anti-vivisection organisations across the world.
Can you use your products on babies and children?
Organic Surge products can be used on children over two years old. Infant’s skin is 5 times thinner than adult skin so we recommend using only products specifically formulated for babies on children under two.
Are your products suitable for use during pregnancy?
Organic Surge products are very mild and are designed for everyday use. Organic essential oils are considered safe for use during pregnancy subject to normal use, no known complications in pregnancy and no known allergies. However, as usual, during this sensitive time, please consult your doctor for definitive recommendations.
Are your packs biodegradable or recyclable?
The pumps we use cannot be recycled as they are made from a mixture of plastics and contain metal parts.
All other Organic Surge packaging is recyclable where facilities exist. Bottles are made of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) caps are made of PP (polypropylene), 150ml jar and cap are both made of PP, 50ml glass jar and lid are both made of PP, tubes are made from LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene).
How does Organic Surge support charities?
The very soul of Organic Surge lies in its charitable donations and hands-on work spanning many years. Our ultimate aim is to develop a highly successful brand which will help us in our efforts to release children from poverty and enable them to live enriched, meaningful lives.
Does the colour, fragrance or texture of your products vary occasionally?
As any gardener knows, it is natural for crops of natural ingredients to vary slightly in colour and fragrance. The high proportion of natural ingredients in Organic Surge products means there can be slight variations in colour fragrance or texture between products made at different times. This is nothing to worry about – we are careful to ensure that it does not affect product quality or performance in any way.
